I love Sarah Dessen. It’s not my favorite book ever, but that’s okay they all can’t be favorites. These rules come from the fact that her mom is currently on her fifth marriage, so it is from experience that Remy knows: To top it all off, Dexter is a musician, an occupation Remy does not like because her father was one and only left her with one legacy, a one hit wonder called, “this lullaby”.
Remy has to be the one who takes the last step if she wants to change herself. And, if she’s that cynical why is she constantly in relationships?
You should start on oullaby one because it might be my second favorite book by her. Also, the romance is top notch! It has nothing to do with the writing, but this kind of fairly depressing YA chick lit a la Jennifer Weiner is simply not my cup of tea. December Learn how and when to remove this template message.
Dessen is very good with writing stories that resonate well with the target audience, and as always, I like her strong characters, especially the minor ones who still manage to leave a big mark in the story. If you haven’t read This Lullaby yet, stop what you’re doing right now and freaking read it!!

This is definitely one of my all-time favorite summer books. Dexter really got her and I loved that! I actually wasn’t going to write a review for this book but I simply cannot leave my thoughts for it uncovered. Oh, poor me, an awesome guy likes me. I will say that the ending was perfect and I enjoyed it but. But then I lullavy This Lullaby in one day and I felt like a total idiot for not reading it sooner. I absolutely recommend it! The only connection Remy has to her own father is a song he wrote for her right after she was born.
They were compelling and understandable and their relationships with each other felt real. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Everyone thinks that’s what will happen. Just this once, I’m trying a different way of reviewing. The story was so believable and the characters were just as believable and inspiring. The pacing of the book was fast-paced and I got through it in one sitting. She slowly finds herself falling for him. That’s how it gets you. What exactly did she want from these relationships? But to a cynic, everything has measures, standards and requirements. Desaen, I found it to be very relatable and I love when I can lulaby to the characters.
Dexter is so many things Remy could never put up with. I guess when you see your mother get divorced and married for more than five times, you’d think the same thing: Not only is dwssen a violation of her “no musicians” rule, he’s also intent on sticking around.
